Major Paradise

Beautiful, Well-Trained, Sound & Versatile To Enjoy English/Western – Trails Or 4h

Major has excellent conformation, with a beautiful head, plenty of muscle, straight legs and nice bone with solid hooves that he inherited through his bloodlines which were some of the BEST in the Northwest a few years ago. Major is very nicely trained and was shown English and western years ago, but mostly ridden on trails for the last few years with his current owners. He is a friendly, personable and curious horse who likes people, enjoys attention and will do best with an intermediate rider. He could also do nicely with a novice who is riding with an instructor since he has a light mouth and is responsive to aids. He is at ease in a stable isle with tight quarters, on the trails or in the show arena. On the trails Major is sure-footed, fearless, not spooky and willingly goes through water or over dead-fall trees or through rock. His gaits are really nice with a brisk walk on the trail, soft slow western jog (OR an extended posting trot for English), and a great canter which does NOT throw you up in the saddle. He knows his leads, side-passes and neck reins well, and softens into a snaffle beautifully. He is sound, healthy, and current on worming and hoof trims. He is ONLY for sale because his loving owners, who purchased Major in 2007, are no longer able to ride due to medical issues. Major has no vices and lives at a nice boarding facility in Bend, Oregon.
