Jet is a big, solid-boned, friendly, good-natured and well-trained 17-year-old Paint gelding. Jet has only had a couple of long-term loving homes during his life and received lots of professional training as a youngster. He has competed mostly in showmanship and western and bareback pleasure and equitation classes, but also is great in English, where a knowledgeable rider can get him to extend his naturally western gaits. He has also been shown and won in cattle events (such as team penning and sorting) and gaming. Jet is being offered for sale because his present owner is too busy with work and raising her child now to spend much time with Jet. He loves attention - to be groomed especially - so we are wanting to find him another long-term, loving home where he can be ridden on either the trails (where he is great) or in 4H, or help take another young person through High School on an equestrian team. Jet is healthy, sound (as far as we know), current on all shots, worming and just got a new set of shoes. He loads and hauls well and is one of those hard to find solid, honest, broke geldings who can help a young or timid rider to gain their confidence on a horse and also bring home some ribbons, if they wish to show. Jet lives in the Bend area of central Oregon and is presently being exercised a couple of times a week so should be ready to 'hit the trails running' or the show ring with his new owner as soon as they become comfortable with one another.
