"Raven" is a handsome true blue roan 3-year-old stud colt whose bloodlines go back to the Driftwood line through his dam and King Leo and Fritz Command through his sire. Foaled and raised out in the steep, rugged country of the Ochoco Mountains, Raven has grown up almost like a wild colt, learning to handle himself and stay safe outside. He is very alert, athletic and intelligent and was brought into the ranch yard several months ago to start his training. Raven has proven to be a very fast learner and now knows how to lead, tie, load in a trailer and to stake out by any one of his legs. He has been thoroughly sacked-out, accepts the saddle well, has been ponied by a big well-broke gelding and has been driven with long-lines where he responds to his trainer/owner's verbal commands to move out, whoa, back and side pass. Raven should mature into a bold, muscular, athletic and handsome working, ranch or roping horse with the right future training. His new owner can either keep him a stallion or geld him to have a good using horse who can really cover the ground and never loose his footing. Raven is sound, has good bone with strong, solid feet and lives in the central Oregon area. He might also qualify for the National Foundation Quarter Horse Association, and if so, can be double-registered.
