Mia is a beautiful, colorful and friendly 7-year-old Paint mare with good 'modern' conformation who was nominated to the NW's Triple Crown Futurities and is also in the APHA Breeder's Trust. Sired by the great producing Paint stallion in California, STREET LEGAL, and out of a SONNY DEE BAR mare, she was bred specifically to become a western or English pleasure show horse. Mia has a great disposition and has been a real joy to raise; she is sweet, nickers "hello" and is always easy to catch - even if out in a field with others. Mia should make someone a nice HUS or western pleasure horse and/or maybe a 4-H, Pony Club, or trail mount. She is trusting and mannerly on the ground, good to bath, easy to clip, ties quietly, gets along well with dogs and other horses, and loads and hauls super. Under saddle she gives her face lightly, moves off leg pressure, and can travel slowly or extend in all three gaits. She has been introduced to moving cattle in an arena and thought it a great fun game, and has been on a few little trail rides which she seemed to really enjoy. Mia will do best with a quiet, confident rider since she is not a bold nor very confident horse - in a pasture situation, she is usually lower in the pecking order. I had dreams of trail riding and showing her in small, friendly local shows, so I never wanted to push her so she would stay sound as an older horse... but now I need to find her a loving new home because my husband and I are traveling and I don't have time to spend with her. Mia has always been kept current on her shots, worming, professional tooth-care and hoof trimming/shoes and lives in the Bend area of central Oregon.

PRICE $4,200 negotiable to someone that Mia really "clicks" with
