"Indy" has done a bit of everything in his first six years of life. He has been ridden bareback, English, western, in parades, on the trails, around cattle, in trail trials and had quite a bit of arena training. Purchased by his current owner as a three-year-old, Indy is part of a very active horse-family, so when Mom took the kids to shows or events, Indy often went along to get him used to lots of new sites and sounds, resulting in Indy being more 'worldly' than many young horses. He has been ridden by fairly experienced youngsters as well as accomplished horsemen, and tries to adjust himself to their different styles of riding. He can be a bit lazy in the arena; circles are pretty boring - but he can do haunch turns, forehand turns, side-passes, backs well and knows his leads. He is mannerly on the ground and good to bathe, clip, shoe, tie, and loads and hauls nicely. Indy hasn't ever been shown, but he is in the APHA Gelding Plus Program, so a new owner might wish to finish his training and compete in Paint and/or open shows. Since Indy is still young, he will be best suited to a confident intermediate or better rider. Indy is certified/guaranteed HYPP N/N; is sound, healthy, current on all shots, worming and trims and lives in the "Tri Cities" area of southeastern Washington.
