"Bella" is a gorgeous,
eye-catching, almost irridescent silver-blue colored 5-year-old AQHA
mare. She has a cute head, muscular and stocky conformation (the old
"bulldog" build) and nice straight legs with solid, black feet. Bella is
a quiet, sweet and kind young mare who has been easy to work with and
willingly went to work under saddle. She was ground-trained, saddled and
mounted at home before being sent out for several months of professional
training. She has no vices and has a light mouth, responds easily to leg
and weight cues, has nice transitions between gaits and a good "whoa".
Bella was first ponied as a youngster, and
then more recently ridden out in the mountains on the trails and on
horse-camping trips. She is sure-footed, sensible and not spooky, and
loves to explore new trails when given the opportunity. Bella has lots
of potential to go into any western or cattle-working events, and should
make an outstanding youth, novice or amateur show or pleasure horse. She
has been kept in pastures with other horses, in dry-lot corrals and also
box stalls, and settles in well in new surroundings. Bella is being
offered for sale because her owner has other young horses coming along
in their training and doesn't have the time to enjoy
Bella. She is just coming into her prime; is healthy, sound, current on
her shots, worming and hoof care and lives in the La Pine area of
central Oregon. These photos above were taken last year; Bella has since
filled-out quite a bit and we should be getting NEW photos of this
pretty little mare within the next week or two.
